

Akinyemi Osinubi | Director
Akinyemi Osinubi is a Finance & Investment professional with 24 years of experience in the USA and Nigeria spanning upstream oil & gas economics, energy finance, financial advisory and private equity. He recently led the development and operations of a private capital platform for the largest Financial Markets Infrastructure firm in Africa. He also led the development of an accelerator program for start-ups in Nigeria in collaboration with the Oxford Foundry and the Said Business School Entrepreneurship Center.
He began his career as a Financial Analyst with Aquila Energy Capital in Houston where he worked on financing the development of onshore and offshore oil & gas E&P projects in the Texas Permian Basin, the Gulf of Mexico, and the Powder River Basin in Wyoming. His work extended into investments in pipelines, coal bed methane, power plants including the earliest wind power projects in the USA. Akinyemi worked with Oando Plc as the Manager, Group Finance, Strategy & Risk Management where he oversaw the evaluation of Oando’s investment in a gas field, 2 major oil fields, the greater Lagos pipeline project, a refinery, a coastal terminal, and several drilling rigs.
Akinyemi was also a Vice President, Oil & Gas with African Capital Alliance/CAPE where he financed the acquisition of a Floating Production Storage Offloading vessel, the FPSO Jamestown, and the development of an LPG Terminal among others, before he was appointed a Senior Investment Officer with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) focusing on Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) for Infrastructure Projects where he worked on several power generation, LPG and Natural Gas infrastructure projects.
Akinyemi is a CFA Charter holder with a B.Sc. (Honors) in Biochemistry (University of Lagos), an MBA in Finance & MIS (University of Houston), a certificate in Private Equity from the London Business School and a certificate in PPP Infrastructure Delivery from the Harvard Kennedy School. He is a member of the CFA Institute (USA), a former board member of the CFA Societies of Nigeria and served as the Honorary Secretary of the Energy Institute Nigeria.
